ATLANTA, Ga.- UConn track & field started their outdoor season Friday, competing in Day 1 of the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Georgia Tech University.

Men's Field

• Travis Roux finished in 5^th in the hammer throw with a throw of 59.15m. Alex Krause set a personal best in the event with a 6^th place finish at 58.02m.
• Patrick Oatman and Ty Noble tied for 4^th in the pole vault at 4.63m.
• Connor Hayford finished 2nd in the javelin with a throw of 64.37m.

Women's Field:

• Natalia Surdej secured 3^rd in the hammer throw at 58.28m.
• Sinclaire Fryer took 5^th place in the shot put at 13.98m.
• Maresa Hense finished 2^nd in the long jump at 5.90m

Men's Track:

• Terrel Williams took home 2nd place in the 110m hurdles, the third-fastest time in outdoor program history at 13.73.
• Noble Gongon finished 4th in the 100m with a time of 10.68m.
