Track & Field Compete on Day 1 of Yellow Jacket Invitational
ATLANTA, Ga.- UConn track & field started their outdoor season Friday, competing in Day 1 of the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Georgia Tech University.
Men's Field
- Travis Roux finished in 5th in the hammer throw with a throw of 59.15m. Alex Krause set a personal best in the event with a 6th place finish at 58.02m.
- Patrick Oatman and Ty Noble tied for 4th in the pole vault at 4.63m.
- Connor Hayford finished 2nd in the javelin with a throw of 64.37m.
Women's Field:
- Natalia Surdej secured 3rd in the hammer throw at 58.28m.
- Sinclaire Fryer took 5th place in the shot put at 13.98m.
- Maresa Hense finished 2nd in the long jump at 5.90m
Men's Track:
- Terrel Williams took home 2nd place in the 110m hurdles, the third-fastest time in outdoor program history at 13.73.
- Noble Gongon finished 4th in the 100m with a time of 10.68m.
Up Next: The Huskies wrap up the Invite tomorrow, with Day 2 kicking off with the women's high jump at 12:00pm.

The Huskies earned a league best, five first team selections in Kaitlyn Breslin, Rosie Garcia, Grace Jenkins, Payton Kinney, and Cat Petteys. UConn received two second team selections in Lexi Hastings, and Hope Jenkins.
