Huskies Hit the Road for Bucknell Invitational
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn swim and dive team is back in action this weekend as they travel to Bucknell University, for the Bucknell Invitational. The Huskies will be one of seven teams attending the invitational, looking to end the first half of the season strong.
The Huskies will look to continue their success this weekend at Bucknell following a 155-134 win over the University of Rhode Island. UConn's swimmers dominated in the pool vs. Rhode Island, smashing pool and school records in the process. The Huskies relay team of Stella McCardie, Sydney Perkins, Jessica Sheng and Maggie Donlevy broke the pool record in the 400 medley relay, Lexi Martino broke the pool record in the 400 IM and then Bella Hoffman broke the pool record, school record and got an NCAA B cut in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:55.82. In recent years, the Huskies have had great swims at the invitational, setting them up for a strong second half. T
The Huskies will be going against, Bucknell, Seton Hall, University of Delaware, UMBC, Fordham, and Davidson.
