UConn's Chase Lundt Drafted By The Buffalo Bills
GREEN BAY, Wisc. - UConn offensive lineman Chase Lundt (Arlington, TX) was selected in the 6th round of the NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon by the Buffalo Bills with the 206th overall pick.
He becomes the 45th UConn player to be selected in the NFL Draft and the 31st Husky taken during the program's FBS era (2002-present).
The UConn offensive tackle participated in the 2025 NFL Combine and was invited to the annual Reese's Senior Bowl in the lead up to this year's draft.
Lundt finished his career with the Huskies in 2024, earning All-New England All-Star and a HERO Sports Group of Five All-American status after the season. A fixture on the UConn offensive line during his time in time in Storrs, Lundt made 49 career starts, missing just one game during his Husky career.
He helped a UConn team that posted a 9-4 record in 2024, capped by winning the 2024 Wasabi Fenway Bowl over UNC. He helped lead a UConn offensive line that produced a rushing attack that piled up 2,590 yards, the second highest total in school history. The team ranked 23rd in the nation in yards per game at 192.7 yards per game. In the passing game, the Huskies protected the quarterback to the tune of allowing just 1.07 sacks per game, ranked 13th among the nation's leaders.
Lundt is the ninth UConn offensive linemen in program history to be selected in the NFL Draft. He follows former teammate Christian Haynes who was selected in the third round of the 2024 draft by the Seattle Seahawks.
