Zayin Roe Named BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week
STORRS, Conn.- Zayin Roe has been named the BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The graduate student from Richmond, Virginia secured second place in the women's triple jump at the Yale Giegengack Invitational last Saturday, with a mark of 12.50m. This performance from Roe was her best triple jump performance of her career. Roe's jump of 12.50m was the 8th-best mark in women's indoor program history.
The Huskies will look to defend their BIG EAST Championship crown, heading to Chicago for the BIG EAST Championships from February 28th- March 1st.
