Huskies Set For Two Match Homestand, Will Honor Seniors Sunday

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's tennis team is back in action for a two game homestand against BIG EAST foes DePaul and Villanova. The Huskies open the weekend against DePaul Friday, April 4, and will close out the weekend with a matchup against Villanova, Sunday, April 6.

UConn will hit the outdoor courts in Storrs for the second time this season as they welcome DePaul to Connecticut. The Huskies are coming off another impressive performance in conference action, sweeping the weekend with wins over Providence College and Butler University. UConn currently sits 13-2 overall and 7-0 in conference action.

DePaul enters the weekend boasting a 9-8 overall record and a 4-2 record in the BIG East. The Blue Demons are coming off an 0-2 weekend which featured losses to South Florida and Xavier.

Villanova enters the weekend with a 7-9 overall record. The Wildcats haven't played a match since March 23, but are coming off a 2-0 weekend with wins over Saint Joseph's and Temple University.

Sunday's match against Villanova will be the Huskies senior day. UConn will recognize seniors Olivia Wright, Isabel Petri Bere and Maria Constantinou at the match.
