NCAA & UConn Athletics Announce Annual Graduation Success Rate Report
STORRS, Conn. – Ten University of Connecticut athletics teams posted perfect Graduation Success Rates (GSR), and a total of 13 squads performed at 90 percent or higher, as announced by the NCAA on Wednesday, November 20.
Teams that earned a GSR score of 100 percent included baseball, women's basketball, field hockey, men's golf, women's lacrosse, women's rowing, women's soccer, softball, women's swimming and diving, and tennis.
The GSR data shows the percentage of student-athletes earning a degree within six years of entering college. The NCAA developed the GSR to account for student-athletes not tracked by the federal graduation rate, which includes transfers into UConn and student-athletes who transferred from UConn in good academic standing. This year's GSR numbers are based on entering classes from 2014 to 2017.
UConn had an overall GSR score of 92 percent, keeping the Huskies at over 90 percent for the sixth-straight season.
