Track and Field Ready for Crimson Tide Invitational

STORRS, Conn.- UConn track and field heads down to Tuscaloosa this weekend to compete in the Crimson Tide Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama.

Last weekend, the Huskies hosted the first of two outdoor track meets, with strong showings from both teams. The women's team finished first overall with 188.5 points, with Natalia Surdej (Lancaster, N.Y.), winning BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week after winning the hammer throw at 59.14m.The UConn men took home second in the meet with 147 points, highlighted by Enaji Muhammad (Branford, Conn.), winning BIG EAST Men's Field Athlete of the Week following a high jump victory at 2.14m.

The Crimson Tide Invitational will begin on Friday, April 11th and conclude the next day on Saturday, April 12th.
