Track and Field Wraps Up Regular Season in Boston
BOSTON, Mass. - UConn track and field wrapped up their final regular season outdoor meet before BIG EAST Championships on Saturday, competing in the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational hosted by Northeastern University.
Men's:
- Kyle Johnson (Montverde, Fla.) set a new personal best in the triple jump, winning the event at 15.75m, the 4th best mark in program history. Marc Morrison (Orlando, Fla.) took second behind Johnson at 15.42m.
- Kasey Savage (Horsham, Pa.) won the long jump at 7.62m, his season best in the event.
- Garrett McHeard (Amsterdam, N.Y.) finished in second in the shot put, with a throw of 16.38m. Jack Foster (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) took home third at 16.30m.
Women's:
- Brynn Madonna (Allendale, N.J.) won the javelin at 43.24m. Caitlin Dumouchel (Mansfield, Mass.) secured third at 40.17m.
- Zayin Roe (Richmond, Va.) won the triple jump at 12.34m.
- Danielle Phillip (Valley Stream, N.Y.) finished third in the 100m at 12.10.
Up Next: The Huskies will host the 2025 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Storrs from May 15th-17th.
