Huskies Welcome Liberty and Syracuse to Storrs
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's field hockey team is back in action this weekend with their final two home games of the 2024 regular season. The Huskies will welcome no.18 Liberty to Storrs on Friday followed by no.12 Syracuse on Sunday.
The Huskies welcome BIG EAST Foe Liberty to Storrs Conn. Friday. The match is set to begin at 1pm and can be streamed live on Flo Sports at 1pm. The Huskies will be looking to bounce back in BIG EAST action after dropping their last conference matchup to Providence in double OT. The Huskies still sit atop the BIG EAST with two conference games remaining. Freshman Sophie Perschk and Juul Sauer continue to lead the Huskies, combining for 21 total goals.
Following their matchup against Liberty, the Huskies will welcome Syracuse to Storrs for a ranked non-conference battle. The match is set to begin at 1pm and can be streamed live on UConn+. Syracuse currently sits at 10-4 overall and is currently ranked no.12 in this week's NFHCA Division I poll. Prior to the match against Syracuse, UConn will recognize seniors Madi Herb, Sophia Ugo, Addy leonhartt and graduate Lila Browne.
The Huskies will look to continue their unbeaten home streak alive with two tough tests. Liberty looks to keep their hopes of clinching a spot in the BIG EAST tournament alive, while Syracuse comes to CT looking to upset the no.8 ranked Huskies.
