Huskies Set for Matchup Against Quinnipiac
STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's tennis team is back in action Wednesday afternoon as they welcome in state rival Quinnipiac to the Magic Lincer Tennis Club. The match is set to begin at 1pm.
The Huskies are back in action following a dominating 4-0 defeat of Seton Hall University. The Huskies are led by Maria Constantinou and Oliva Wright who are 4-0 in doubles so far this season. The Huskies enter the match 3-1 overall and 1-0 in BIG EAST action. The Huskies double pairings have found their stride to start the season, carrying the Huskies to their three victories.
Quinnipiac enters the matchup 1-1 overall. The Bobcats opened the 2025 Spring Season dropping a matchup to Yale 7-0 but bounced back and defeated New Jersey Institute of Technology by a final of 7-0. The Bobcats had a matchup scheduled against the University of Rhode Island for Saturday feb.8 but the match was cancelled.
The Huskies have come away victorious in the last 10 matchups between the two teams, and have only suffered two losses in the history.
