Huskies set to host Marist Red Foxes

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's lacrosse team (2-4) is set to host the Marist Red Foxes on Saturday afternoon in Storrs. The two teams haven't met since 2010 when the Huskies were victorious at home.

The Huskies are coming off a win as they opened their season at home against the Hofstra Pride on Tuesday afternoon. Goalkeeper, Landyn White, had 12 saves in the win. Three Huskies scored three or more goals to lead the UConn offense; Rayea Davis had four goals and an assist, while Susan Lafountain and Eliza Bowman each had earned themselves a hat-trick. Madelyn George, grad student midfielder, had eight draw controls on the day, and two ground balls.

The Red Foxes snapped their five-game losing streak on Wednesday as they edged out the Columbia Lions at home in a 13-12 contest. Kerri Gutenburger earned a hat-trick in the win.

UConn is 1-1 all-time against Marist and will look to break the tie tomorrow at Morrone at 1:00pm. The game can be streamed on UConn+.
