Huskies Set for Raleigh Relays Thursday and Home UConn Dog Fight Saturday

Raleigh Relays Live Results | UConn Dog Fight Invite Live Results 

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's and women's track & field teams prepare for a two meet week as squads will split up to take on the Raleigh Relays on Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 28 in Raleigh, N.C., and then the rest of the squads will host the UConn Dog Fight Invite on Saturday, March 30 at George J. Sherman Sports Complex.  

A small group of athletes will head to Raleigh with the men competing on Thursday and the women competing on Friday. 

Last time out, the Huskies started out the outdoor season at the UCF Black & Gold Invitational in Orlando, Fla., with strong performances. In total, there were 14 top-five results along with two personal bests and two first-place finishes. Senior Kasey Savage put up solid marks in the long jump (1st, 7.65m) and the triple jump (2nd, 14.99m).  

For the women, senior Jasmine Barrow led the way, placing first in the triple jump (13.02m) and third in the long jump (6.12m). 

Start time for Raleigh Relays is 4:35 p.m. ET on Thursday and 12:40 p.m. ET on Friday. Then, on Saturday, the Huskies host the UConn Dog Fight Invite with a start time of 11 a.m. for field events and noon for track events.
