Coach Beth Sullivan Awarded USTFCCCA Northeast Region Men's Coach of the Year
STORRS, Conn. - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Thursday afternoon Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Beth Alford-Sullivan as the Northeast Region Men's Coach of the Year for the indoor season.
This is Alford-Sullivan's second year at the helm for the Huskies with another successful season. In two years, UConn have won three BIG EAST Championships with its most recent championships being the third-straight dual championship at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships this season.
In the indoor season, Alford-Sullivan led the men's program to most points scored ever in conference history with 237 points, along with seven individual winners and an impressive 19 All-BIG EAST honorees.
The outdoor season begins this weekend for the Huskies at the Black & Gold Invite in Orlando, Fla.
