HuskyTHON Raises Over $2.1 Million
The annual dance marathon raised $2,102,853.03 for Connecticut Children's
UConn students danced their hearts out this past weekend at the annual 18-hour HuskyTHON and raised $2,102,853.03 to benefit Connecticut Children’s.
Patient families from Connecticut Children’s also were part of the event, including “miracle children” who have received treatment at the hospital. Each child was matched up with a student team. The dance marathon, which started in 2000, has developed into New England’s largest student-run philanthropy effort and has multiplied its fundraising 100 times over since the inception.
