The Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Physicians (CT ACP) awarded Dr. Jaclyn Olsen Jaeger, associate professor in the UConn School of Medicine and geriatrician in the UConn Center on Aging, the Early Career Physician Teaching Award for her outstanding work as an educator of medical students and internal medicine residents.

The award honors physicians at the associate professor level or below, who have shown outstanding commitment to medical education. Honorees must be active members of the chapter and stand out as educators of medical students or internal medicine residents.

“I’m honored to receive the ACP Connecticut Chapter Early Career Physician Teaching Award. Teaching is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work at UConn, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to medical education every day. This award is also a testament to the incredible mentors and inspiring educators who have helped shape my journey – especially Dr. Rebecca Andrews, whose guidance and support have been instrumental throughout my career,” says Olsen Jaeger.

Olsen Jaeger accepted the award at the CT ACP chapter meeting Oct. 10.

“Dr. Jaeger’s Early Career Physician Teaching Award from the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Physicians is in recognition of her excellence in teaching medical students, residents, and other early career physicians, such as geriatric fellows,” says Dr. George Kuchel, director of the UConn Center on Aging. “My colleagues and I applaud Dr. Jaeger for her accomplishments.”
