Welcome back, Huskies!
The fall 2024 semester officially starts when classes convene on Monday, Aug. 26, at Storrs and the regional campuses in Hartford, Stamford, Avery Point, and Waterbury.
But in the days leading up to that, each campus will be buzzing with excitement and activity, as thousands of students move into residence halls in Storrs and Stamford, and as faculty and staff make final preparations for the new academic year.
The Class of 2028 will be welcomed with a formal Convocation ceremony on the night of Friday, Aug. 23, at the Student Union Mall. The Husky WOW (Week of Welcome) will continue throughout the weekend as the rest of UConn Nation moves in.
Starting on Thursday, the photographers of University Communications were on hand to capture the excitement of move-in, as students and families lugged belongings upstairs, got situated in new environments, and opened the book on one of the most exciting times in their lives.
