- All dayEight Days a Week : An Illustrated Record of Rock 'n' RollEnjoy this unique exhibition of rock music memorabilia from the archive of editor, journalist, and radio disc jockey Ken Best. This personal collection features decades worth of iconic photos, album covers, posters and promotional materials that Best has amassed while writing about music for newspapers in New Jersey and Connecticut and interviewing musicians and authors on the radio at WPKN in Bridgeport and WHUS in Storrs. Highlighted will be 50 photos of major rock 'n' roll figures by Connecticut photographer Joseph Sia, including his famous image of Jimi Hendrix at Woolsey Hall in New Haven in 1968, known as "The Shadow," from Best and Sia's 1992 book,Eight Days a Week: An Illustrated Record of Rock 'n' Roll (Pomegranate Books).

- 3:30 PM1hMCB Seminar Series: Dr. Tuo WangDr. Tuo Wang Associate Professor, Michigan State University Host: Dylan MurrayAdaptive Remodeling of Fungal Cell Walls in Response to Stress: Insights from Solid-State NMR Spectroscopy Invasive fungal infections pose a serious threat to human health due to their high mortality rates, prompting efforts to target fungal cell wall polysaccharides for antifungal development. Using solid-state NMR, we uncovered structural adaptations in pathogenic fungi that enhance antifungal tolerance through remodeling of carbohydrate networks and cell wall architecture.About Dr. Wang:Tuo Wang earned his B.S. degree from Nankai University (Tianjin, China) before beginning his graduate research at Iowa State University in 2010 under the supervision of Prof. Mei Hong. In 2014, he moved to MIT with Dr. Hong and obtained his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from MIT in 2016. He then continued in Dr. Hong's group for a brief postdoctoral training. In July 2017, he joined Louisiana State University as an Assistant Professor and was later promoted to Associate Professor in August 2021. In August 2022, he joined Michigan State University as the Carl Brubaker Associate Professor of Chemistry.
