CSMNH @ Willimantic 3rd Thursday!

Summer 2023 was the first year the CSMNH attended Willimantic's long running3rd Thursday Street Fests (https://www.willimanticstreetfest.com/). We had a great time at last year's events and are excited to bring two kid-friendly activities to Third Thursday in 2024!OnJuly 18, we'll be celebratingUConn Extension's 10th Annual Bug Weekby focusing on insects, and treehoppers in particular! Kids will learn about the diversity found in these tiny insects, how they live with and help feed ants, and how the patterns and colors on their "helmets" help protect them. This activity is held in conjunction with our exhibitNatural Selection is Amazing! Exploring the Dazzling Diversity of Treehoppers, on display in theGant Science Complex at UConn Storrs (https://maps.uconn.edu/m/map/GW).
