» The UConn men's hockey team will host the first Quarterfinal game of the Hockey

East Playoff as no.4 seed UConn will host the no. 5 seed Providence Friday evening on

NESN.

» The Huskies closed out the regular season with a win over Vermont and extended their

unbeaten streak to 7 games.

» This will be the third matchup between the two teams this season. The previous two

matchups took place at the end of January and beginning of February which resulted in

an 0-1-1 weekend for the Huskies.

» Record Breakers pt.2 : Hudson Schandor once again inked his name in UConn record

books as he broke the program record for most assists in a single season in the Hockey

East Era. Additionally, Joey Muldowney broke the record for most goals scored in a

single season in the Hockey East Era with 20+ goals. Muldowney passed Tage Thompson who finished the season with 19 goals scored.

» Short Handed Strengths: The Huskies are currently lead the country with 9 short handed

goals scored.

» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, having most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase

Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,

Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
