- Huskies Defeat ODU, named BIG EAST Regular Season ChampionsNORFOLK, Virginia - The UConn women's field hockey team has been crowned the 2024 BIG EAST Regular Season Champions following a 3-1 win over Old Dominion Friday afternoon. Sophie Perschk, Juul Sauer and Madi Herb were the goal scorers for the Huskies while sophomore Natalie McKenna was stellar in net, holding Old Dominion to just one goal.

The Huskies jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second half but two unanswered goals in the fourth quarter by the Orange propelled them to the 3-1 victory.

Freshman Juul Sauer scored the overtime winner just 44 seconds into the overtime period to give the Huskies the victory.

Julia Bressler scored the lone goal for the Huskies on a penalty stroke with 52 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
