Please join us for the 2025 Holster Scholars Program Fall Symposium. The Holster Scholars Program is a selective enrichment opportunity for curious first-year Honors Students that supports in-depth, individualized learning experiences in the summer following a student's first year. The eight 2025 Holster Scholars will be sharing their research projects at this event. The symposium, which kicks off at 2:00PM, will be broken up into three sessions:2:00-3:00 - The Science of the Mind 3:00-4:00 - Building Better Materials 4:00-5:00 - Advancements in the Biological Sciences A detailed program, including Scholars' names, project titles, faculty mentors, and presentation times, is available at s.uconn.edu/holstersymposium (https://s.uconn.edu/holstersymposium). AFINC is a competition that is open to 1Ls and starts their third week on campus. Teams of two compete in 2 preliminary rounds during the first week of the competition and in Octos, Quarter, Semi, and Finals rounds in the second week of the competition. This will be the Final Round which is open to the public, judged by practitioners, and will have food served.

The exhibiting artists are Marsha Borden, Helena Chastel, Kathryn Frund, Phoebe Godfrey, Hugh MacDonald, Bob Pavlik, Dan Potter, and R. It starts at the Pond House with the physician giving a brief presentation about a health topic. Then the group sets off for a one-mile loop through the park, encouraged to continue the conversation with the physician and future physicians along the way.

National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW) is a national initiative that occurs during the last full week of September each year, and aims to raise awareness and increase education about hazing. It encourages communities, institutions, organizations, and individuals to engage in intentional discussions about the problem of hazing.
