"Expressions in Multimedia" by Martha G. Trask "Secondary Effects" by Jeff Ostergren Join us for a reception Thursday, May 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Celeste LeWitt Gallery. (north side of the food court)Martha G. Trask is an expressive mixed media artist who happens to work in our library.Jeff Ostergren infuses his paint with actual medications to tell stories about the intertwined histories of pharmaceuticals and color.

The exhibiting artists are Marsha Borden, Helena Chastel, Kathryn Frund, Phoebe Godfrey, Hugh MacDonald, Bob Pavlik, Dan Potter, and R. Douglass Rice. Open Air 2025 is open daily and will remain on view through October 6, 2025. June 19, 2025 iis the last day to visit indoor art exhibitions. Exhibitions inside the AVS Gallery will resume on September 11, 2025

The Upward Bound/ConnCAP Field Day is a dynamic, action-packed event held during the summer program, designed to provide students with a fun and engaging way to build teamwork, develop leadership skills, and foster a sense of community. This event takes place outdoors and features a variety of physical activities, games, and challenges that encourage students to work together, stay active, and have fun. Throughout the day, participants will rotate through different stations featuring team-building games such as relay races, obstacle courses, tug-of-war, and other competitive activities. These games are not only designed to promote physical fitness, but also to help students develop important life skills such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. The focus is on participation, sportsmanship, and creating lasting memories with peers. The Field Day also provides a chance for students to take a break from academics and engage in recreational activities in a positive and supportive environment. Throughout the event, students will have the opportunity to bond with their fellow participants, make new friends, and enjoy the outdoors while staying active and engaged.

Course: In-Person Project Management Professional (PMP)Course Description: The Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification Prep course is an extensive program designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills essential for effective project management. It covers a comprehensive range of topics that form the basis of the PMP® exam content outline, from fundamental concepts like understanding what a project is, to more complex subjects such as risk, procurement, and Stakeholder management. Starting with an introduction to project management, learners will gain insights into the Project life cycle, the roles and responsibilities of a project manager, and contemporary trends in project management, including Agile considerations. Join us on Friday, June 20th, 2025 at UConn's Waterbury campus for OLLI's Juneteenth event starting at 10:00 AM. This event is free and open to everyone. This special event features John Mills, historian and President of the Alex Breanne Corporation, which researches stories of the lives of American enslaved individuals. Mills will discuss his own family history of enslavement, his research into enslaved individuals' experiences in Connecticut, and the history of Fortune in Waterbury. The event will also provide lunch catered by Southern Tree, and music from the celebrated Ross and Bost Duo. The event is free, but space is limited. Registration is required. The MS in Supply Chain Management (MSSCM) is a STEM-designated, 30-credit program designed to meet the growing demand for supply chain professionals in today's complex, global economy. Offered in a flexible hybrid format, the program allows students to complete their degree in as little as nine months full-time or at their own pace part-time, with online courses and optional in-person sessions in Hartford and Stamford.
