STORRS, Conn.- UConn women's lacrosse (11-5, 4-2 BIG EAST) hits the road to kick off postseason play, traveling to Philadelphia to take on Villanova University in the 2025 BIG EAST Tournament Semifinal. The Huskies come into the tournament as the #3 seed and will face off against the #2 seed host Wildcats.

STORRS – The UConn men's basketball team and head coach Dan Hurley have announced the addition of Mike Nardi to the coaching staff as an assistant coach. Nardi comes to Storrs after a decade on the coaching staff at his alma mater Villanova, most recently serving as the program's interim head coach after seven years as an assistant.

STORRS – The UConn men's basketball team has announced a home-and-home series with perennial power Arizona, set to begin on Nov. 19, 2025 in Connecticut. The Huskies will return the game on Nov. 18, 2026 in Tucson.

STORRS – The UConn men's basketball team has further bolstered its backcourt with the addition of high-impact transfer Malachi Smith. The 6'0 lead guard and Bronx, N.Y. native has signed an aid agreement to join the Huskies for the 2025-26 campaign after spending four seasons at Dayton. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

STORRS – The UConn men's basketball team has picked up a pledge from Silas Demary Jr., with the 6-5 guard signing an aid agreement on Thursday (April 3). Demary (pronounced dem-uh-ree) Jr. joins the Huskies after two seasons at Georgia, where he was a double-figure scorer and All-Freshman team selection. He will join Connecticut for the 2025-26 season with two years of eligibility remaining.

The BIG EAST Conference has announced the names of the student-athletes who have been selected to the 2021-22 BIG EAST All-Academic Team, including 242 Huskies.

STILLWATER, Okla. - UConn senior Eric Van Der Els (Norwalk, Conn.) wrapped up the 2021 cross country season on Monday competing in the NCAA Championship race in Stillwater, Oklahoma and hosted by Oklahoma State University.

When Eric van der Els was watching the NCAA Cross Country Championship selection show on Sunday, his stream was a little bit behind. His phone started blowing up with congratulatory messages from his teammates, but he had to wait to see for himself before he actually believed it happened.

The 2nd Varsity 8 and 3rd Varsity 8 both raced in the same six-boat race, finishing 5th and 6th behind MIT, Boston College A, Holy Cross, and Boston College B. The Varsity 8 finished 4th behind MIT, BC, and Holy Cross in their event.

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team has announced its incoming class of 2029 along with a pair of transfers for the upcoming 2025 season.

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's soccer team hosts its 2025 Spring ID Clinics on Friday, April 18 from 12 p.m.- 3:00 p.m (510 Jim Calhoun Way). at the UConn Recreation Field Complex. The clinic is open to all girls' in grades 9-12.  Space will be limited to 60 participants per day.

STORRS, Conn.- On November 18th, 2023, UConn volleyball closed out their season with a five-set home victory over Villanova. The victory wrapped up a tough season for the Huskies, the first one in the building formerly known as the Freitas Ice Forum. UConn finished tied for tied for last in the BIG EAST, with a conference record of 3-15.
