WSOC Postseason Awards Keep Rolling In, Okafor All-American
STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's soccer team has been recognized with numerous awards since the culmination of the 2024 season including Chioma Okafor becoming a two-time All-American with her selection to the United Coaches Third Team.
Okafor, the MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist, earned First Team All-East region honors and was selected to the United Coaches Third Team All-America team for the second-straight season.
Teammates Lucy Cappadona and Anaya Johnson both landed on the United Coaches Third Team All-East Region.
With a BIG EAST Championship, 14 wins and advancing to the NCAA Second Round, the UConn coaching staff of head coach Margaret Rodriguez, associate head coach Carey O'Brien and assistant coach Carson D'Ambrosio earned United Coaches Coaching Staff of the Year in the East Region.
