Mission:

At ALPFA UConn, we empower students, especially Latinx students and other underrepresented groups, to become impactful leaders in their homes, workplaces, and communities. Our UConn chapter proudly welcomes students of all majors, backgrounds, and identities!

About:

Through local, regional, and national programs, ALPFA provides access to scholarships, career fairs, networking events, mentorship, graduation stoles, and leadership development opportunities. Our meetings range from professional events, such as company office visits and recruiter presentations, to social events, including Friendsgiving and game nights.

Companies we have hosted include the Big Four accounting firms, JPMorgan, Travelers, The Hartford, Gallo, Synchrony, Otis Elevators, Gateway Financial Partners, Webster Bank, etc.

National Chapter Recognition:

With more than 92,000 professional and student members nationwide, ALPFA includes 160 active professional chapters (for post-graduation) and 45 student chapters. Annually, we go to ALPFA's national convention where many past members have won scholarships and found success securing job offers at its career fair with on-site interviews.

Meetings:

We meet every Tuesday at 6:30pm - 7:30pm in the School of Business RM 321 (The Boardroom). For room changes, upcoming events, and other chapter updates, follow us on Instagram at @alpfa.uconn.
