Huskies in Christ - Stamford Campus
We are a Christian based student organization that seeks to provide fellowship, unity, and thought provoking conversation relating to the Christian Faith and modern day struggles of the everyday person. Our faith, as we know it for all of Christianity, is based on the Word of God: The Bible. In this we understand that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, sacrificed himself for our sins (for everyone's sins) and has lived a life worth following in truth and in grace (John 1:17).
We have Bible Study Meetings where we will look at a passage from the Bible and try to gather understanding from it through collective communication and mutual understanding. We will also hold prayer meetings where members can find prayer and solace with each other, as we carry each other's burdens throughout the semester.
We are not a group limited to one denomination or sect of Christianity, nor do we adhere to only specific doctrines of different sects of Christianity. We seek to create a group to discuss different ideas on passages and uphold different perspectives for the growth and increase in knowledge of each individual member.
Protestants, Catholics, Orthodox, Atheists, Muslims, and more alike are wholeheartedly welcome to join in respectful discussion in our group and join in on our activities. We are not a church, but we do have connections with a network of churches stemming from Stamford itself, and stretching all the way to West Haven, CT. All are welcome to challenge, support, and provide their services to the members in the group!
"I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought." (1 Corinthians 1:10)
Come and join us for our fellowship!
