Welcome to Community Service Days! Our Community Service Days programs provide meaningful off-campus service opportunities to the UConn student population. Our organization provides great ways to give back to the community and meet fellow students! No experience required, just a passion for helping others! Together, we can build a stronger, kinder community—one project at a time.
Transportation to these events is provided. Due to the construction on Gampel we will be using the Husky Statue on Hillside Road as our pickup and drop-off spot for all shifts until further notice.
Please note that you need to RSVP through UConntact in order to attend the event.

Fri, Oct 30MACCMACC Charities is a Manchester-based non-profit with the mission of building partnerships to break cycles of poverty in our community. They have a Community Kitchen that provides hot lunches, a Community Threads Thrift Shop that provides clean clothing for persons in need, with clothing provided free of charge for community members in need, a Community Outreach and Emergency Services that provides weekly showers and laundry availability to unsheltered residents, and a Community Emergency Food Pantry that provides groceries to residents in need. MACC needs help maintaining organization and cleanliness within their facility. Transportation is provided. Arrive to the bus stop no later than 8:30 am. There will be a variety of tasks inside and outside depending on the need of that day. Holy Family Home and Shelter, Inc., is a non-profit organization, that offers 28 bed home and shelter for fathers, mothers and their children. Transportation is provided. Please arrive at the bus stop no later than 9:00 am. We have 3 main programs: Our shared use community kitchens incubate small food businesses, our community food outreach program includes our food bag distribution for Willimantic families, and the community fridge outside the Willimantic Food Co-Op, and our food hub program connects 20+ local farms to institutional markets.Tasks involve Garden Maintenance, Cleaning, Food Packing. Fri, Oct 30Spring ValleyJoin us for Farm Fridays! Are you passionate about sustainability? Come and engage with our regenerative growing techniques and net-zero energy initiatives! Do you love good food? Come and help us grow healthy fresh vegetables for the UConn community! Would you like to meet some other students with similar interests and diverse experiences? Join our vibrant group of volunteers for the afternoon! No prior experience needed-- our student farmers will teach you everything you need to know about preparing soils, planting seeds, identifying weeds, and caring for our gardens. Volunteering is from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Please arrive to the bus stop no later than 3:30pm.
