Chamber Orchestra Club, UConn

UC Chamber aims to spread the value and appreciation of music throughout the Storrs community. The organization aims to give players the opportunities to showcase their talents and continue their musical experiences beyond high school, regardless of their membership in other musical activities. UC Chamber will perform one in-house concert per semester and may also play at a variety of venues to support charitable events and organizations. UC Chamber is a place for students to continue their passion in a less stressful environment.

We currently hold rehearsals on Sundays in the Music Building from 3pm-6pm. UC Chamber is very flexible and will accommodate students if they cannot make certain times and rehearsals. UC Chamber welcomes winds, brass, percussion and strings players of all levels and requires no audition to join. Students will send placement hearings, allowing the music director to assign parts to create a balanced ensemble. We also have the opportunity for student composers and arrangers to have their works performed and for student conductors to conduct.
