Women in Politics

UConn Women in Politics will be dedicated to fostering a supportive and educational space for women on campus to learn about civic engagement, express their thoughts and concerns, and develop leadership skills. Our goal is to create a community that acts as a guiding and amplifying force to help women advocate for themselves and provide the tools to do so. Our activities will include discussions of current events, workshops on civic engagement and local activism, inviting speakers, and incorporating art into spreading awareness (such as making zines). As our logo of balanced scales with a microphone as a pillar suggests, we intend to uplift women's voices and promote equality by providing resources, safe spaces, and community.
