The Holster Scholars Program (https://honors.uconn.edu/holster-scholars) is a selective enrichment opportunity available only to first-year Honors students. The program supports a select number of students who wish to complete independent research, design, or creative projects in the summer following their first year at UConn.First-year Honors students are invited to join us in the Buckley Classroom for an introduction to the program followed by a Q&A. Vibrant paintings by Andrea Sanchez and Jaii Marc Renee on display in the Celeste LeWitt Gallery — Join us for a meet and greet from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29.

An opening reception for "Flyway of Life" will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the gallery, located in the Branford House at the UConn Avery Point campus in Groton. Admission is free.On Oct. 1 from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Koeck will be in conversation with John Dodd, executive director of the Atlantic Shark Institute, with food and refreshments. The event will take place in the gallery. After the conversation at 6 p.m. in the campus auditorium, a screening of Koeck's film "Flyway of Life," will be shown, followed by a question-and-answer session.

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Dr. Andy Shih will be here at UConn Physiology and Neurobiology from Seattle Children's Research Institute & University of Washington, hosted by Dr. Georgia Zarkada. His seminar will be titled, "In vivo dissection of blood flow in brain capillaries."

In this session, you will learn to set up and manage your Gradebook to accurately record and calculate student grades in the new Ultra Course View of HuskyCT. We will cover specific settings and features such as the different types of calculations, using categories, and working with the different Gradebook views that are available to instructors. We will also cover how to send a grade column to Student Admin for midterm and final grade submission.
